Guest Faculty/ Musical Theatre

Alexia is a classically trained dancer from Tampa, FL, and 2018 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama’s Pre-Physical Therapy program with a B.A. in Dance, under the direction of Cornelius Carter, and B.S. in Psychology. Alexia has spent Summer and Winter breaks studying with the Orlando Ballet School, the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, Galen Hooks in The Galen Hooks Method Intensive, Broadway Dreams Foundation, the inaugural Axis Connect Summer Program, as well as Ballet Hispánico’s first-ever ChoreoLab. She has had the honor and privilege of performing original and restaged works by Qianping Guo of Pacific Northwest Ballet, Lawrence Jackson of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Eddy Ocampo, Cindy Salgado, Joanna Numata, Brian Reeder, Kavin Grant, Spencer Liff, and many more esteemed artists. After graduating from UA in May of 2018, Alexia joined the 4.0 Cast aboard the Norwegian Joy sailing throughout China and Southeast Japan. Here, she performed as a dancer and aerialist in production shows Paradis and Elements by Patti Wilcox. Other professional Credits include being a featured dancer in Dhwani Gautam's recent Gujurati film, "Romance Complicated", Elvin Santiago’s “Entertainer”, the
University of Alabama National Commercial three years in a row, and the launch of the One Times Square Screen in New York City. Throughout college Summers and Winters, Alexia had the honor of being a part of Broadway Dreams Foundation, a 501c3 non profit musical theatre training program. BDF gave Alexia the opportunity to work with industry greats such as Spencer Liff, Michelle Lynch, Aaron Simon Gross, Quentin Darrington, Christopher Hanke, and more. She credits Annette Tanner and the entire BDF family for igniting her love for musical theatre which she is now pursuing in New York City!
